The central premise of my work is that coordinated interactions between RNAs and RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) are key regulators of gene expression and thereby important determinants of phenotype.

The integration of biochemical, genetic and computational approaches at multiple biological scales is necessary for understand and quantify the impact of specific post-transcriptional regulatory elements and events on cellular phenotypes.

My goal is to combine these approaches to extend our understanding of the basic principles of post-transcriptional regulatory mechanisms as well as their relationship to human physiology, specifically adrenal hormone production.
